Owerri is the capital city of Imo State, Nigeria and no doubt one of the best cities for partying in the country. With hotels and clubs shutting down every weekend, it is a place you will surely want to travel to, to burn some of the cash you made during the week.
This however cannot be possible if you don’t have a house in the town or get a hotel within your budget to pass the night at. With over a hundred hotels in the city alone and even more scattered around the state, we can always get something within your budget.

The hotels in the city always go from anything around ₦4,000 per night to as high as ₦200,000 and even more. This post is for the good hotels however, and for a reasonable night’s rest you have to budget anything above ₦5,000.

Cheap Hotels in Owerri and Their Prices

A lot of people will talk about hotels within the range of ₦3,000 and ₦5,000 but some of these hotel owners will house you alongside rats and mosquitos and of course, no air conditioners.

Conclusion

Most hotels in Owerri are negotiable and it wouldn’t hurt asking for a little cut in the prices. The trick is this, whether you stay there or not, they will still burn diesel and on average days, they do not sell out.
Some of the prices here have not been individually verified so you should check other platforms and online reviews or better still, stop by at the hotels themselves.

There are other cheaper hotels and while we are trying to sleep out, always be mindful of your security and make inquiries before you pay for your rooms.
In my case, I always lodge based on recommendations. Which of these hotels are your favourite? Do you have a bad review of any? Drop your comments below and don’t forget to share.
