Elegushi Royal Beach Resort is a popular private beach resort in Lekki, Lagos State. It is owned by the Elegushi royal family and is one of the most wonderful beaches you can visit in the state.
There are so many activities to enjoy on the beach and it entertains over 40,000 visitors every week. It is also in a central part of the state and there are a lot of other locations you can access in its surroundings.
The atmosphere is very lively and the waters are clear with enough restaurants and bars around where you can sit down and enjoy nature. There are also provisions for extra activities like horse riding on the beach.
For the kids, they can enjoy the playground while adults have fun in the waters. The gate fee is however quite affordable and it can be a bit rowdy at times.
In one word, I can describe it as a ‘local’ beach. It is not as glamorous as other beaches and nature is preserved in the location. You can also take your food and drinks in, which is a plus.
On the negative side, there are several complaints of extortion especially when you are perceived as a foreigner. It is also quite rowdy and not the cleanest beach around.

Conclusion
Elegushi Beach is one of the cheapest beaches you can visit in Lagos State and Nigeria as a country. It however attracts a lot of visitors weekly and can be really noisy, especially on weekends.
There are also wide cases of extortion of foreigners by locals and that is something you should look out for.
Regardless, it is a very wonderful location. The beach can be termed local as it is natural to its credit. On neatness, I think there should be improvements too as visitors sometimes mess up the location with their waste.
